
Philippine's very own Marcelito Pomoy received a Hero's Welcome in his current hometown in Calauag, Quezon yesterday, February 25.
The America's Got Talent finalist, who finished at 3rd Runner-up, received a plaque of appreciation and trophy from Calauag City Mayor Rosalina O. Visorde.
Part of his homecoming included a motorcade to meet his fans and a buffet lunch treat with the city officers.
The moment was documented by Marcelito in a series of photos found on Instagram.
He wrote, “Sa lahat ng aming mga kababayan na nakisama sa amin sa kainitan at masayang motorcade, mabuhay tayong lahat.
“Maraming, maraming salamat po. God bless us all,” followed by a kissing emojis.
Marcelito flew home to the Philippines on February 19 after the much-talked America's Got Talent: The Champions finale where he finished 3rd Runner-up.
On his Instagram, he shared how he's grateful to have been a part of the show and ended up as a finalist after battling with other champions from several AGT franchises.
“God has a better plan,” he wrote.
“I am very much happy with what I received for I raised the flag of our country. I have shared my talent with the whole world and loved by so many which I really did not expect.
“So all in all, I am thankful to America's Got Talent: The Champions edition for inviting me to join this contest. You have tremendously changed my life.
“Love you all guys and I promise to keep singing for you.”
